I'm pleased you enjoyed it! Usually, around March you can smell wild garlic, which gives it away! I think their long slender dark green shiny leaves are reminiscent of daffodil leaves. Later in the season, they'll sprout sweet white flowers. All parts are edible, but avoid digging it up for the bulbs - they're small, the leaves are tasty anyway, and it's against UK law unless you have permission from the landowner!
